Current Scope of Practice

Johali Muzaliwa focuses her practice on insurance defense and bad faith litigation, and has experience drafting insurance coverage opinions. She is a certified arbitrator and has resolved cases through arbitration and mediation.

Admissions, Affiliations, and Activities

Johali is admitted to practice in Texas (2014), and is a board member of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Texas. Johali is an avid runner and enjoys reading classic literature.

Johali received her bachelor’s degrees from Boise State University (2009) and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center (2014). While at the University of Houston Law Center, Johali was a notes and comments editor of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and was the chair of the Rocky Mountain Black Law Students Association (now the Southwestern Region of the Black Law Students Association).
